Wages
<<payment for services rendered>>
“The good man’s earnings advance the cause of righteousness. The evil man squanders his on sin” (Prov 10:16). This proverb cautions about how we use our earnings.
A worker is worthy of their wages, so provided they fulfill their duty, do not withhold them – it is not a gift but an obligation of the employer for the work done (Lk 10:7; Rom 4:4). Jesus told those who were topping up their income illegally, to be content with their pay (Lk 3:14).
There is always a payday for what we do
salvation if we repent of our sin and walk His ways. As believers although we will experience physical death, we are rescued from ultimate spiritual death and brought into ultimate spiritual life.
