It is being discontent and unappreciative, lacking the common courtesy of expressing thankfulness or having ‘good manners’. The Bible says this will be typical in the ‘last days’ as people’s attention is selfishly focused on their

perceived rights, while ignoring their responsibilities (Rom 1:21; 2Tim 3:2). In contrast rather than taking things for granted or expressing criticism, as Christians we should be known for the gratitude (and encouragement) we give (Col 3:15; 1 Thes 5:18). The Bible is specific, “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act” (Prov 3:27). As believers, all we are and all we have is a gift from God so we should continually be filled with gratitude to God and come with thanksgiving to Him (Ps 100:4, 105:1; Jas 1:17).
