Unappreciative

It is our responsibility to treat others as we would like to be treated (Lk 6:31).

Failure to show gratitude or give credit to those to whom it is due, is bad manners yet in past times acknowledgement was seldom shown to servants (Jdg 8:35; Lk 17:7-10). Unfortunately this unappreciative attitude of ‘It’s my right’ has plagued history and will be an increasingly typical response or characteristic of the last days (Eccl 9:14,15; Jer 2:5-7;

Do I express my appreciation to others in a tangible way?

2 Tim 3:1,2). Only one of the ten lepers returned and expressed appreciation to Jesus for the physical healing received – their focus was self without even an acknowledgement to the one who had delivered them from such a dreadful disease (Lk 17:11-19). T-H-A-N-K-S – these six letters mean a lot.

God is kind to the ungrateful and wicked, and will not forget our efforts in helping others (Lk 6:35; Heb 6:10). Why not take some time now to acknowledge and praise God for all the good things He has done for you. He has done more for us than we will ever understand.
