<<writer of Pilgrim’s Progress>>
This persecuted English Baptist preacher and author of numerous books, spent over 12 years in prison for preaching without a licence. It was during this time he penned ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’ the most successful allegory of the Christian life ever written. He lived 1628–1688.
A quote attributed to him – ‘In prayer it is better to have a heart without words, than words without a heart’.
