Amazement

“Joshua told the people, consecrate [purify from sin] yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you” (Josh 3:5). As we also
walk in increasing holiness before the Lord this opens the way for Him to work mightily on our behalf.

“The crowds were amazed at Jesus teaching, because He taught with authority, not as their teachers of the law” (Mt 7:28). People were astonished when they saw the wind and waves obey Him, heard the wisdom He spoke, witnessed the miraculous power of healing and evidenced His authority (Mt 8:27, 13:54, 15:31, 21:20).

Am I amazed at His redeeming love?

Paul was astonished that some of the early Christians who were not grounded firmly in Christ were turning aside to embrace different beliefs (Gal 1:6).
